Where to Celebrate National Pasta Day in Boston

October 17th is National Pasta Day in the United States. To celebrate the grain’s big day, our team at Bricco has put together a list of the best places to eat pasta in and around Beantown. Read more below!

AquaPazza Boston:

“You might guess that any place with house negronis, oysters, and an extensive rotating selection of daily crudo is worth going to,” The Infatuation wrote in their 2019 review of this North End Restaurant. Add in a page of pastas, and you’ll understand why there’s always a line outside. At AquaPazza, no pasta is the wrong choice. You could stick to the classics and order their homemade spaghetti and meatballs, or venture out and have their signature manicotti, which features ricotta, parmesan, and buffalo mozzarella. Regardless of which dish you order, you’ll be wishing you could lick the plate clean after.

Assaggio Boston:

Since 2017, Assaggio has imported all of its pastas from “Gragnano,” which was named as the “Best Pasta in the World.” In the years since, that investment has done them good. Menu highlights include their amalfi lobster ravioli, which is filled with a creamy lobster sauce made from various parts of a lobster; a spicy vodka pasta; and a chef’s choice risotto of the day (the flavors rotate daily). Wash it all down with a red or white wine from their extensive cellar.

Bricco:

One meal at this North End restaurant will turn you into an “Italophile.” At Bricco, traditional Italian cooking leads the way; dishes from Northern, Southern, and Eastern Italy fill the menu’s pages, coaxing you to forget about New England cuisine at least for the night. If this is your first time dining at Bricco, be sure to order their ricotta pillows, which feature truffle butter, wild mushrooms, and a pleasant sage sauce, along with their “brick chicken,” which is marinated in 7 different spices before it’s cooked “under a brick” (they fry it in a pan with a brick on top).
